Allison and Alec discovered me on Instagram, a familiar platform for many of the couples I work with. Right from the beginning, their authentic and profound love shone through. This dynamic duo, living in North Carolina but with Californian roots, decided to return to their home state to celebrate their wedding in the stunning and dreamy hilltop of San Marcos, CA. I will be dreaming of Allison’s bouquet until the end of time!
Location and Setting:
California with its rolling hills, provided the perfect backdrop for Allison and Alec’s wedding day. The Twin Oaks venue, covered with lush greenery and twinkling fairy lights, set the stage for an intimate and romantic celebration. Nestled on this picturesque property were three distinct cottages—a haven for the bridal party, groomsmen, and even a salon.
Details and Moments:
The main cottage, styled with vintage art and heirlooms, was where the bridal party got ready. The ceremony took place in the open garden, while the reception unfolded just steps away under a spacious white tent. Amidst all the magic, a few moments stood out. Allison’s face lit up with every word Alec spoke during his private vows, and candidly capturing these real emotions resulted in some of my most favorite photographs.
One star of the day was Allison’s mother, who broke the mold of regular moms with her incredible energy. Dancing freely on the floor, recording moments on her phone, and radiating the biggest smile.
Floral Perfection:
Allison’s floral vision was brought to life by Leah Mai Florals, from the arch design to tablescapes and especially the most incredible bouquets I have ever witnessed as a photographer. The floral arrangements exuded perfection and brought an extra touch of elegance to the entire affair.
The celebration:
Allison and Alec’s wedding day wasn’t just a celebration of their union; it was a realization of their shared vision and a testament to their genuine connection. The love and light that radiated from them will forever be engraved in my brain.
Can you feel the love, too?
